RADFLY MOVIE NIGHT A SELLOUT!

To our RADFLY friends and supporters who attended our sellout movie night on 6 June @ HOTA:  A HUGE THANK YOU! We appreciate you paying to see “Rocketman” and by doing so, generously supporting RADFLY and the work we do with vulnerable young people in our local community. Special thanks to the local businesses and individuals who donated prizes. We appreciate your generosity very much. As I’m sure you are aware, all funds raised go directly to support Ohana for Youth (Arcadia College & Gen Z Employment) and YHES House in Southport.

The movie received incredibly positive reviews from those who attended, with praise for Taron Egerton’s performance as Elton John, not to mention the colour, the costumes and of course the songs!

The night was topped off by the presentation of a $10 000 cheque from our incredible supporters WOMEN OF INFLUENCE.  This Gold Coast organisation (womenofinfluence.org.au) are constantly thinking of ways to support RADFLY and make a difference in our community. WOI is a not for profit organisation whose purpose is to provide a forum for motivated and successful businesswomen to network, learn and connect. RADFLY are proud to be their preferred charity.
We were thrilled to welcome new supporters HTG Solutions (www.htgsolutions.com.au) who very kindly donated the latest Galaxy S10 phone (valued at $1499). The phone was won by Cindy Anderson . This very unique company started with one Telstra Retail Store on the Gold Coast at Westfield Helensvale and now locally own and operate Telstra Store Harbour Town, Burleigh Heads and Helensvale. They look after all consumer and business needs across the Gold Coast as they also operate and locally own the Telstra Business Centre Gold Coast.

Another highlight of the evening was to listen to the personal experiences of a young mum, Olivia, and the valuable role of YHES House in supporting her before and after the birth of her little boy.  YHES House, under the auspices of Wesley Mission Qld, offers incredible services and support to young people in our community who are experiencing need.
It was a wonderful night and we thank all who contributed to making it such a success.
